The Niger Delta region is a very strategic economic region to our nation and the current Administration has worked out modalities for sustainable peace, economic growth and development of the region.
The Niger Delta International Trade Fair is therefore conceptualized as an economic event that will compliment far reaching Government's efforts towards achieving sustainable peace, economic growth and development for the region.
The Niger Delta International Trade Fair which is scheduled to hold from the 10th through to the 21st of October 2015 is designed towards the promotion of the private sector as a broad strategy for achieving rapid economic development in the Niger Delta as envisioned in the economic agenda of the Federal Government. The following are the major objectives:
- Showcase the various investment and great business opportunities, incentives and institutions to local and foreign investors.
- To promote the Niger Delta States' medium and large scale manufacturing companies through match making process between them and their counterparts from other states of the federation and outside Nigeria.
- To encourage investors home and abroad to tap into the boundless investment opportunities in the region
- To exploit the opportunities of globalization
- To open up the Nigerian export processing zone of the niger delta region to the international business community
